Negativity begets negativity and this could not be more true than it is in relationships. If you are negative inside of a relationship the relationship is going to take a turn for the worse.

Regardless of how long things have been negative with you and your partner, you can start to be more positive. Negative behaviors push people away and make you less appealing, so when you are in a relationship you need to try to breathe as much positive though and express as you can into it to keep things on the right course.

Some people are simply more negative than others. You may not realize that you are as negative as you are. To get a feel for how negative you may or may not be, ask yourself these questions:

Do people often comment on your bad moods or your being grumpy? Do you often find that you are in a bad mood?, Do you tend to get caught up in the bad things life has brought your way?, Do you say no more than you say yes to your family members?, Do you want for things to be perfect and feel irritated when they are not?

If you answered yes to some or all of these questions you may be adding more negativity to your relationship than you are contributing in a positive fashion. The great news is that you can change the way you approach the people in your life right now and change your relationship for the better.

Some things that you can do to change your behavior or your feelings include but are not limited to, eat more healthy foods, get more sleep, exercise regularly, do something simple you like every day, question your negativity.

You can add more positive thoughts and feelings to your marriage by doing positive things for your family members and your spouse.

Compliment your spouse when they do something well, go out of your way to do small things for your spouse, apologize for negative behaviors, create an open dialog about your negativity and ask for help in correcting negative behaviors, seek professional help

As you can see, negativity is something that you can move past. Start small with being more positive and with even the smallest actions will have a big result. You'll see the result and you'll want to continue on this track.

Being negative and having a negative relationship as a result isn't something that you have to settle for, you just have to be willing to break the cycle and start breathing positive thoughts and feelings into your relationship.
