There is a lot speculation being bandied about in the press these days that people are leaving the UK and looking to start new lives abroad. People have always moved around, sometimes more often than others, but what is making the headlines at the moment is the scale of immigration taking place.
On an unprecedented scale, UK residents are dissatisfied with their lives here for various reasons and looking further afield to start again. The whys and wherefores don't really matter for the purpose of this article but where are many choosing to go?
Well, there are various options. Some people head for other countries where they have family - some going to the US, some to France or Spain because of it's ease of location for getting back to the UK to see family but many people are choosing New Zealand immigration as their next phase of life.
But why New Zealand I hear you ask?
Well, why not? Anybody that has ever experienced a taste of New Zealand will be aware how difficult it is to come home again. For a start, you have the climate. The sun in New Zealand is amazingly warm, much warmer than the UK - although you need to be careful of sunburn but this only happens once before you remember the sunscreen!
Of course, New Zealand is also partial to its fair share of rain. Having experienced New Zealand rain, I can honestly say it is something else! Torrential downpours are something New Zealanders have grown accustomed to - after all, it's what keeps their country so lush and green. They have learnt to go out each day prepared with sunscreen and umbrella.
However, New Zealand immigration has a completed unexpected attraction that pleases a certain sort of person. If rudeness, coldness and unfriendliness in the general population are wearing you down, New Zealand immigration is your answer. In the main, New Zealanders are a very happy go lucky type of character.
Talk to any of the natives and you will be made welcome as if you belong there. You will be spoken to as if you are a long lost friend and you will find the whole pace of life is a step back from the rat race of the UK or US.
Of course, this country has a distinct advantage of many others for those looking to live overseas and that is the fact that they speak English. This makes integrating into a new society a million times easier than trying to learn a foreign lingo. You will know by the terrain and the weather and your welcome that you are in New Zealand but you will understand not only what everyone is saying to you but also their great sense of humour - very similar to the typically British one.
You will also love this place if you like the outdoors life. Thanks to the plethora of beaches around these two small islands, the amazing surf throughout the year and the general ethos of the country and it's residents, outdoor life is a large part of their way of life, from surfing to scuba diving to barbecues full of family and friends.
There are many choices if you are looking to move abroad but New Zealand immigration is becoming popular for very good reasons! |
