One of the biggest fears that women face is growing older. It is not so much that they have a fear of dying, but many of them have a fear of looking older as they get older. They might buy and try everything on the market that they can afford to keep wrinkles and other body changes at bay. Sometimes they work a little and sometimes not much at all. Of course, there is nothing wrong with trying to look as good as you can for as long as you can, but eventually aging catches up with all of us and we have to find ways to come to terms with it and learn to love ourselves the way we are.

Some of the most unhappy women you might run across are the ones who are uncomfortable in their own skin. Just feeling bad about their age and being continually unhappy with the way their body and face is changing can make them look older because they are not happy. Whenever someone smiles on the inside, that smile can be portrayed on the outside as well. You might still have all of the new wrinkles you really don't care to have, but when you have learned to live at peace with them, happiness is easier to come by.

Being self conscious about your age is a dead end street. Even if you spend all of your money for plastic surgery and a lift here and there, you will never be able to escape your real age. Do you not think it would be better just to except how old you are and work naturally with what you have? Not all women agree with this, but it does seem that many women are learning to embrace whatever age they have become and learned to make every moment of their life special in itself.

You are only as old as you feel in most cases. The way you look really has nothing to do with it unless you allow it to. Some of the smart older women of today have learned to be proud of those wrinkles that so many other women their same age might hate. In a strange way they feel like they have earned them and they are the proof of the life they have led. The hard times and the good times alike. You good get those laugh lines as well as the worry wrinkles. Life is too short to worry about how old you are getting and if you look good enough to please other people. It should be more about being happy, enjoying what is happening in your life now, and being who you have grown into over the years.
